Pipes generally have two types of pipe ends: PE and BE. The purpose of beveling pipes is to provide better welding conditions and connection strength when connecting pipes. The groove can increase the contact area of the weld, make the weld stronger, and improve the welding quality and reliability. Grooving can also reduce welding stress concentration and improve the stress crack resistance of welded joints. Using a chamfering machine, the maximum bevel width is 15mm. The chamfering machine can replace the tool holder to achieve the bevel angles of 30°, 45° and 37.5° that are generally required by the market.
